1. Cookies and local storage
Cookies are small text files a website may place on your device. Local storage is a related browser feature that lets a website save small values on your device without sending those values automatically with every page request. This policy covers both technologies and similar browser storage.
Kiwi Orbit is a static website. We currently use local storage, not tracking cookies, to remember two user-facing choices. These values are associated with your browser rather than an account and are not used to follow you across websites.
No analytics, advertising, social-media tracking or personalisation cookies are active on kiwi-orbit.com.
2. Storage currently used
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
ko_cookie_choice | Essential local storage | Remembers whether you chose essential-only storage and whether the saved-games feature is enabled. Also records when that choice was saved. | Until you clear site data or update your choice. |
ko_favourites | Functional local storage | Stores the names of games you heart. The list stays on this device and is not connected to a Kiwi Orbit account. | Until you remove games, disable the feature, or clear site data. |
The essential preference prevents the privacy banner from reappearing on every visit and respects your saved-games choice. If you select “Essential only”, the favourites entry is deleted and the heart buttons stop writing saved-game data.
3. Storage we do not currently use
At the effective date, Kiwi Orbit does not use:
- analytics cookies to measure individual journeys;
- advertising cookies or pixels;
- cross-site tracking or behavioural profiles;
- social-media tracking widgets;
- payment, account or player-balance cookies; or
- cookies from game publishers on our own pages.
If we introduce non-essential analytics or another new category, we will update this table and, where required, request a choice before that technology runs. We will not treat continued browsing as consent where an affirmative choice is required.
4. How to control storage
Use Kiwi Orbit settings
Select to enable or disable saved games. Essential preference storage remains active so the Site can remember that choice. Disabling saved games removes the existing ko_favourites entry from this browser.
Use your browser
You can inspect, block or delete cookies and site data through your browser's privacy settings. Clearing data for kiwi-orbit.com removes your saved games and consent choice, so the banner will appear again. Blocking all local storage may prevent those features from working but should not prevent you from reading the catalogue and legal pages.
Private or incognito browsing may clear local storage when you close the private session, depending on the browser.
5. Third-party websites
Game cards and “official site” buttons lead to external websites operated by publishers or stores. We do not embed their checkout, account or game services in Kiwi Orbit pages. Once you follow a link, the destination may set its own cookies or use other tracking under its own policy. Review the destination's cookie and privacy notices before accepting optional technologies.
Your browser will normally send basic connection information such as your IP address and browser headers to the destination when you click an external link. Kiwi Orbit does not control that exchange.
6. Changes and contact
We may update this policy if browser-storage use or legal requirements change. The new version will be posted here with an updated effective date. Material additions to non-essential storage will also be reflected in the on-site controls.
